Atados
Atados, meaning tied together in Spanish, is my first photo essay about a special kind of magic.
I saw it fitting to post it today, December 4th, because I was born on this day. Twenty six years ago, a magical and unbreakable bond between a child and her parents was created.
The following images represent special memories that I would like to always keep alive. An image has the ability to make people immortal but I believe people have this ability as well. My beloved father passed away earlier this year and from time to time I stop to think about the little things I miss the most about his personality and how I would never want to forget these details. I have come to realize, though, that some of his traits, be some strong or weak, have become my own. My father magically lives on in me.
Through these images I attempt to show this ever-lasting bond between my father and I. He did not go, he only changed. We are no longer divided. We are one. Magic ;)
